Maybe it reminds you a little bit of Clifford, or the decor in a pediatrician’s office, but for a pet store—a place people shop with very little personal investment—are those such bad things?

From the beginning of the year through April 6, 1,477 pertussis cases, including 63 deaths have been reported. This is 41 times higher than the 36 cases reported during the same period last year. Three-quarters of the cases are in children under the age of 5 years.
